Steele St. Public School

Located in Barrie, Ontario. JAA was tasked with replacing an outdated heat pump system. The mechanical design featured a combination of high efficiency DX cooling with hydronic heating using horizontal fan coils and in-classroom packaged ventilators.  The existing boiler room was upgraded to include a new heating zone specifically for the classrooms.  This was a repeat visit to this site for JAA after doing the original boiler upgrade in 2006.   Both projects were done with JAA in a prime consulting role.
