Midland Villa Care and Centre of Excellence

The Midland project is a two-and-a-half storey, 132-bed Long Term Care (LTC) facility and four-story office building, “Centre of Excellence” for a total 122,890 ft² (11,417 m²). The Centre of Excellence houses support facilities for the LTC building operations including a commercial-grade kitchen, as well as Jarlette Health Services new Head Office.

The mechanical systems consist of high efficiency boiler plant with primary-variable secondary pumping, high efficiency domestic water production, hospital grade ventilation with heat recovery for the LTC occupant spaces, Building Automation System (BAS) with graphic interface, and high-efficiency rooftop units.

The LTC occupant space heating systems features hydronic radiant ceiling panels that provide high occupant comfort and a premium aesthetic appearance.

The design included for a future expansion to build a retirement lodge and three small independent living apartment buildings.
